sometimes you don't feel like doing a ton of different lines when you're in a designing mood. YOU JUST WANT TO COLOUR PRETTY THINGS! and if you can sell them for $50 a piece, that's fucking awesome. why the hell wouldn't you do that?
fuck dude, that doesn't lessen your integrity as an artist. do you not understand the POTENTIAL that comes with a design or a character when you buy it? you're probably underpaying the artist in almost every instance for this. it's hard to come up with decent looking designs! and an artist could just keep them! they're allowing you to own and use a unique idea of theirs!

you do not know all that there is to know about someone's circumstances. if someone enjoys art more than working (holla) or maybe they just can't get a job that pays enough to support them for whatever reason, it might be their only source of income. even if it's just a partial part of their income, that's so disheartening to have someone try to tell you you're overvaluing your time/work/creativity/ideas. i would be so offended.
the funny thing about people bitching about kawiku is that DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE GD COST OF LIVING IS LIKE IN CANADA? yeah sorry it's sort of a lot higher than a lot of other places. my boyfriend lives in kentucky and i want to laugh/cry when i hear the price of housing there compared to here.
ugh okay i'm going to stop myself bc i'm having trouble concentrating and this is probably v incoherent already. plus i could go on for eons about this most likely. but pls don't be idiots. if you don't get it, keep your mouth shut. try to be a decent person maybe instead of trying to harm others. i'm so thankful that all my watchers have been so supportive and just plain LOVELY in regards to my commissions and prices. i've been so scared to raise my prices even though i've felt i've been undervaluing my work at times and it's just amazing to take a risk and just DO IT and have it met with positivity and more orders than i thought i would have received.
